I began working as an Affiliate Writer for BuzzFeed UK in November 2021. Here is the link to my articles and dashboard: https://www.buzzfeed.com/elizabeth_cotton

I was responsible for a weekly series which was End of the Week Slump. This included products that would help readers prepare for their following work week, enjoy their weekend, or just useful/treat yourself buys. We found that this performed well on our Facebook page. Here are a couple of the posts that had the most success in terms of views:

The headlines for these articles would be adjusted based on the time of year, weather etc. to make the articles appear timely for our readers.

I was also responsible for a fortnightly series called Readers Love. This involved looking at data collected by Amazon showcasing what products our readers brought the most in the past week. Using this data, I would collect 20+ products that were performing well and include them in an article. This proved to be a fruitful series, and here are a few of the most popular ones:

Alongside this, I also focused on gift guides for occasions such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc. This stocking filler gift guide for Christmas performed exceptionally well: https://www.buzzfeed.com/elizabeth_cotton/surprisingly-practical-stocking-fillers

I also had the opportunity to write a few first-person reviews with popular products, or one's that we predicted would become popular:

We also found that Linkby campaigns were a great way for us to make some extra revenue on a monthly basis for our non-Amazon output. I produced a lot of Linkby content, and due to it being CPC we saw great results in many of our articles. During my time at BuzzFeed, I was also able to write two monthly 'Buzz' posts. This ranged from TV and Movies content, to quizzes, or even community posts where I would use comments about a particular topic for an article. Here are some of the posts that performed well:
